Paladin Guide

Hi, good
. Some classes in
World of Warcraft are known as hybrid classes. They are the
classes that combine some primary features found in others. One
such class is the Paladin. In this WoW Paladin Guide, you will
discover the abilities of this diverse character.
Just like other hybrids, the Paladin possesses the
traits of multiple classes, but is not as proficient as those
who are known primarily for one skill. With practice and
mastery of the Paladin, however, a player will be efficient
enough to utilize all of the skills effectively. This makes for
a valuable character class both solo and in groups.

Paladins have auras and blessings to assist fellow
party members. Auras are buffs that the Paladin provides for
other party or raid members in his or her vicinity, boosting
their abilities. A Paladin also possesses blessings, which are
single target buffs applicable to friends, greatly increasing
their fighting abilities. Most blessings last for ten minutes
and are exclusive to Paladins.
Though the Paladin is known for the buffs provided
to party and raid members, they can endure heavy damage due to
the ability to wear plate armor. Paladins are known as a
defensive class due to their healing capabilities, buffing
abilities, and ability to withstand damage. This is not to say
that they have no offensive skills. They may utilize two-handed
weapons, stun enemies, and have the power to eradicate Undead
and Demons. It is, however, the Paladin’s talent for outlasting
the enemy that is the class’s true strength.
As you have probably surmised from reading only
this far in this WoW Paladin Guide, Paladins are a hybrid class
due to spellcasting and unique fighting skills. Dexterity with
two-handed weapons enhance the melee abilities of the class,
while the secondary spellscasting and healing powers provide
defense and battle enhancements for other party and raid
members. Thus, the hybrid denomination.
On offense, the Undead are the Paladin’s primary
targets due to their skill in fighting this class.
There are a few drawbacks that do come with the
Paladins previously mentioned strengths. Due to their skills
and demands on both offense and defense, they require a large
amount of mana. Much of the need for wearing the heaviest armor
is derived from the fact that they must stay close to the
combatants, as they do not have range abilities. Additionally,
they have little to no aptitude for drawing attacks.
Possible races the Paladin may assume are:
-
Blood Elf
-
Draenei
-
Dwarf
-
Human
Equipment available to the Paladin includes:
-
Cloth
-
Leather
-
Mail
-
Shield
-
Plate (with training)
Weapons a Paladin may wield are:
-
Axes (one and two-handed)
-
Maces (one and two-handed)
-
Polearms (with training)
-
Swords (one and two-handed)
If you choose the Blood Elf race for your class,
you will begin with Sword specializations.
This WoW Paladin Guide is designed to display the
versatility of these hybrid warriors. Upon mastering their
skills, you will be both a valuable ally and a formidable
foe.
