Hi,
good . When conjuring images of a
priest in your mind, you might picture the humble, unassuming
man who delivers sermons on Sunday and then goes about his
business. Once you decide to play World of Warcraft, throw that
image out the window. This WoW Priest Guide
will delve into the powers of this important class on
Azeroth.
Healing and preservation are the names of the game
for the Priest. In battle, he restores wounded friends, shields
them, and even resurrects those who have lost their life in
combat. It isn’t all about defense, though. If a player so
chooses, he or she can decide to take the Priest down a path of
great damage potential. The Priest is, after all, versed in the
powers of the Holy Light.

If some of this sounds a lot like the Paladin,
that is because Paladins possess these powers as well; however,
the Paladin is a hybrid class, meaning that they are not quite
as adept at certain skills as their class-specific
counterparts. The Priest is possibly the best healing class in
World of Warcraft. And the Priest can utilize the Holy Light in
some manner better than most, creating the potential for
damage.
Bear in mind that the potential for damage is just
that; potential. You might have therefore guessed that the
Priest isn’t often asked to join groups for his melee skills.
He is the healer of the group, which requires quick
decision-making skills and concentration on the part of the
player. His poor melee skills and low hit points make him
pretty easy to take down. That’s why he is there to heal and
resurrect as well as provide some powerful buffs, enhancing his
group members’ skills.
Just as in guides for other classes, this WoW
Priest Guide will illustrate the available weapons for the
Priest. One-handed maces and wands are on hand when first
starting the game, while daggers and staves can be learned from
weapons masters as the Priest’s abilities improve. The only
armor at the Priest’s disposal is Cloth, making battle a
somewhat tricky area for players without much practice.
Three talent trees are available to a Priest:
The Discipline tree focuses primarily on lessening
damage to himself or group members and strengthening his buffs.
The Holy tree increases the Priest’s healing ability. It also
adds benefit to spell power. Talents gained from the Shadow
tree are those intended to do damage. One such talent is the
Mind Flay, a spell that causes damage and slows the enemy to
50% for three seconds.
Some players avoid the Priest class because it can
be difficult to play in PvP. Their versatility does, however,
make them highly sought after in group play. Everyone likes to
have a healer while fighting.
Priests are valuable classes, especially when you
have mastered all of their skills and learned how to properly
choose the right role for the right situation. Take the
information contained in this WoW Priest Guide and begin your
journey into the priesthood.
I hope you found this WoW Priest Guide
helpful.
All the best
