WoW PvP
Guide

Hi, good . You may already know
that World of Warcraft, also known as WoW, is the perfect game
in which to impress all of the other players with tons of gold
and Epic Flying Mounts. Admit it, though, you’ve come to crack
some skulls player vs. player style. This Wow PvP
guide will give you some ideas on what to look for
when planning your next battle against your closest online
friends.
In PvP, the honor system
reigns. As you become more adept at claiming victory on the
battlefield, you accrue points which are redeemable for
rewards. In case that is unclear, it means you receive points
for killing someone of the opposite faction. Violent, yes, but
the Alliance and Horde have quite the bloody
history.

One thing this WoW PvP guide
should mention is that on Azeroth, just as in school, no one
likes a bully; therefore, you will not receive points if you
polish off the same player too many times.
Do not be a domineering jerk
with spells, either. Charm, Fear, and Stun are known as Crowd
Control spells. These spells are subject to what is known as
diminishing returns. Once a spell is used on a specific
opposing member, casting the same spell on that member within
fifteen seconds of the first one wearing off will reduce the
duration by 50%. A third reduces it by 75%, and a fourth will
have no effect. This rule also applies to spells that slow down
or impair the movement of another player.
Killing another player is
great in terms of honor points, but there is additional honor
to be had. Battlegrounds involve raids in which groups of
players engage other groups in battle. Some of these instances
involve capturing a relic before the other faction, similar to
a game of capture the flag.
Any good WoW PvP guide should
tell you that the winning team of a battleground is awarded
three tokens for their efforts. The side on the losing end
receives only one. These tokens are currency that can be used
to obtain weapons, armor, and other equipment that will come in
handy when questing or, as some players prefer, battling
another player.
One great aspect of
Battlegrounds is the ability to meet and play alongside or
against those from other realms. For the majority of the time
spent on the game, players would never see anyone from another
realm.
Earlier in this WoW PvP guide
we mentioned that no one likes a bully. Well, no one likes a
deserter either, so if a player leaves before the end of
battle, he or she will not be able to enter a queue for any
battleground whatsoever for 15 minutes. This actually has
nothing to do with punishing someone for being a coward. It’s
to prevent someone from jumping between battlegrounds until
they create the team desired.
There are many tactics and
strategies to PvP play, and this WoW PvP guide is designed to
cover some basics, hopefully preventing some awkward newbie
moments. I hope you found this WoW PvP Guide
helpful.
All the best
Adam
