Hi, good
. Carefully choosing the class that
best suits your needs is quite important when playing World of
Warcraft. If you are considering a rogue, a WoW rogue
guide may be just what you need to decide if one is
right for you.
Rogues may be a member of the
following races: Blood Elf, Dwarf, Gnome, Human, Night Elf,
Orc, Troll, or Undead. One factor to bear in mind before
choosing your race is to identify each race’s traits and how
they match the rogue’s abilities.

Equipment
available to the rogue includes Cloth and Leather. Available
weapons are Daggers and Thrown weapons. With further training,
the rogue may also utilize:
- Bows
- Crossbows
- Fist Weapons
- Guns
- Maces
- Swords
It is certainly not exclusive
information to this WoW rogue guide that this class is
immensely popular. The number of rogues per server doesn’t lie.
Maybe this popularity stems from the melee, meaning close-range
fighting ability of this class. Their damage per second, or
DPS, falls right alongside the Warrior and Death Knight. Be
aware, however, that rogues have no healing ability and are
limited to Cloth and Leather, so the potential is there to
suffer some damage as well.
Rogues also excel in the
department of stealth as well, making it their most important
class advantage. Other players cannot see one unless he is very
close. Agility is the rogue’s most crucial attribute. Rogues
prefer agility to strength, thus increasing their
DPS.
Amongst the rogue’s skills is
the ability to create poisons, which when coupled with the high
amount of damage they inflict, makes them desirable battle
companions in groups. They are admirable on their own, too.
Groups are also attracted to rogues due to their ability to
pick locks and disarm traps.
Furthermore, rogues have some
issues managing monster hate / aggro, so they will sometimes
take hits that the tank is supposed to absorb. The tank is
there to withstand the damage; the rogue is there to dish it
out. This isn’t to say that rogues cannot be used as tanks.
They can, but rogue tanking is all about staying unhittable
while maintaining aggro. This is not easy, but can be
done.
Upon reaching Level 10, a
rogue can become skilled at the dual wield. As mentioned
earlier in this WoW rogue guide, this class prizes agility, so
they cannot carry two- handed weapons or a shield. The dual
wield is the best method by which to receive maximum stat
buffs. This ability, however useful, increases the chances of
missing with a weapon and hinders its damage
ability.
Rogue talents are broken into
the categories of assassination, combat, and
subtlety.
Remember, when participating
in a raid, others are depending on you. As previously
mentioned, the rogue is quite adept at DPS in melee situations.
With this comes the expectation of others that a rogue will
bring enough potions, food, poisons, and bandages to the raid.
Don’t make your fellow players angry.
This WoW rogue guide has provided you with a
few things to mull over when considering a rogue as your class,
so get ready to play World of Warcraft. I therefore
hope you have found this WoW Rogue Guide helpful.
All the best
