Hi, good .  World of Warcraft is an incredibly extensive game with many realms to explore, quests to complete, and character classes from which to choose. One such class is the shaman, and this WoW Shaman Guide will help you to get to know this character better.

A shaman is not always the first class that players consider when choosing a character for the WoW game. It is, however, valuable in the sense that it is a hybrid class and is therefore able to adapt to a number of tasks.

Because of this, the three talent trees which arise add a high level of variety to the game. Each tree provides very unique adventures. When beginning the game, many players want to level up right away. The following are a few effects each talent tree has on leveling.

One talent tree is that of enhancement. The advantage here is that down time is minimal and damage delivered is high. Since this involves melee fighting, fighting which occurs close to the opponent, damage received is also high. This can be frustrating at first, but as the shaman levels up, the maelstrom weapon becomes available. Providing instant heals, this weapon helps balance the damage taken in to a great degree.

Another talent tree mentioned here in this WoW shaman guide is the elemental tree. This tree is ranged, meaning the fighting is done from a distance, unlike the melee method. It is a safer tree, because the opposing mob has already been considerably damaged or even killed. Unfortunately (for some), this leads to a greater amount of downtime due to the high levels of mana required.

Restoration is the third talent tree. If you wish to level up your shaman quickly, do not go this route. It offers very little damage output enhancements, making leveling up or solo Player vs. Environment much more tedious than it needs to be. The advanced ability to survive makes this tree valuable for leveling up in groups that take on a large number of instances, but going it alone and taking on upper level classes is far too time consuming.

As briefly mentioned above in the WoW shaman guide, shamans are valuable as members of groups and on raids. It was the original intent of the game-makers to provide the shaman with restorative powers as its most valuable trait. This is desirable in groups, due to the need to heal as other players take on damage.

A shaman from the elemental talent tree is able to support groups and raids, but making it even more valuable is the burst damage per second (DPS) it can deliver. An elemental shaman also benefits other spell casting characters due to Elemental Oath and Totem of Wrath being available only to the elemental shaman. These critical strikes are prized by the other casters.

Enhancement shaman are important in groups and raids because not only do they have the power to use standard totems, they can utilize enhancing totems, creating better than standard buffs.

Feel free to use this WoW shaman guide to help you decide upon the path you wish to take with the shaman.

I hope you have found this WoW Shaman Guide helpful.
